Brooklands

Brooklands is a new build dwelling located in the popular area of Tranwell Woods, Northumberland. The project originally involved the design of a new load bearing masonry structure with structural steel frame elements required due to extensive glazing and to satisfy lateral stability requirements. The property has a swimming pool meaning it was necessary during the design process to ensure that our foundation design was fully coordinated with the specialist pool manufacturer’s design. All of the roof space has habitable rooms. We developed a design solution comprising of steelridge beams, apex frames and laid - in timber roof rafters.
