The Queens Head Hotel

The works at The Queens Head Hotel in Morpeth included a full refurbishment of the existing grade II listed building as well as the provision of 2 No. rear wind extensions. The existing structure was in poor condition and required significant structural alterations / remedial works to enable suitable development. The proposals considered the historical nature of the building with original features being preserved where possible by using a heritage led approach. The Home Engineers carried out the civil and structural engineering design for the project which included foundations, steel beams and load bearing masonry design throughout.
