Healthfield

Healthfield is a new build dwelling located in the popular area of Tranwell Woods, Northumberland. The project originally involved the design of a new load bearing masonry structure, however due to the required large open plan arrangement and the extensive glazing, a steel frame had to be introduced. The main design challenge was the fact that the client wanted all the roof structure to be useable. We developed a suitable structural solution which involved the installation of a steel ridge beam, purlins and hip members which were supported by the continuous internal and external walls from foundation level.
