Windmill Hill, Launceston

The Home Engineers (SW) were commissioned to undertake foundation designs and subsequent steelwork designs for 3No. dwellings on an old quarry site in Launceston.

Due to the challenging nature of developing an old quarry site, foundation designs comprised of a suitable engineering fill, designing reinforced cavity fill masonry retaining walls/basement slabs, strip foundations, and a pier and beam arrangement.

Following the foundation design, we were then tasked with providing structural steelwork designs to support floor and roof loadings to allow for large open plan floor spaces.
